Joshua Tree Music Festival announces an October streaming event – Joshua Tree Music Festival Presents: From the Desert With Love. The event will include a series of music sets filmed on location at the Joshua Tree Music Festival site the week before. We opted to pre-record the sets to ensure the best quality video and audio for people’s living room dance parties says festival founder Barnett English. The event will also include a daily mindfulness class live-streamed from the festival site and a secret menu of ‘silly shenanigans’ that guests will have to keep their eye out for. We hope to unite people, support the artists and crew, and promote the community vibes that the festival is so known for during a time when it is so needed, continues English.

In true JTMF style, the event will kick off with a Thursday evening dance party on October 15, with a live-streamed DJ set with Subko. The Thursday kick-off party will be free to the public. Tickets to the main streaming event October 16-18 start at $10 for stream access with tiers up to $60 that include bonus perks and exclusive merch.

We hope ‘JTMF Presents: From The Desert With Love’ is the first in a series of streaming events that we’re able to bring to our community. This event will be extra special as it is all filmed or streamed from the Joshua Tree Music Festival site. If we can’t bring people to the festival, we’re going to do our best to bring the festival to our people! Says Marketing and Communications Director Cassie Morrow.

What else has the Joshua Tree Music Festival team been up to during this time? We’re glad you asked!

With in-person events still on hold, the Joshua Tree Music Festival team has taken this time to work on side projects CasaGogo and Harmonize Printing.

About CasaGogo: 2020 has been filled with uncertainty. But if there’s one thing we are certain of, it’s that getting outdoors and spending time with your loved ones stargazing, outside in wide-open spaces, soaking in the desert energy, is medicine for the soul. We lucky folks that live in the desert get to benefit from this on a daily basis but there are many who do not, so we hope to provide this opportunity for people to get some ‘soul medicine’ in a safe and responsible way. For more go to casagogo.com.

About Harmonize Printing: Harmonize printing is a direct-to-garment t-shirt printing business where people can purchase Joshua Tree Music Festival merchandise as well as designs by musicians, local artists, and local businesses who all need community support right now. All garments are printed to order, with love, right here in Joshua Tree. For more go to harmonizeprinting.com.

A message from Joshua Tree Music Festival HQ
With heavy hearts, we are officially announcing that the 18th Annual Spring Joshua Tree Music Festival which was to be held May 14-17, 2020, will be canceled.

We still strongly believe that community is crucial and our hearts want nothing more than to gather and sing and dance and laugh together. With current conditions, however, community means being socially responsible and adhering to the CDC’s recommendations of social distancing for the well-being of all.

Our thoughts are with you all during these unprecedented and uncertain times. Please stay safe, stay healthy, and check in on each other.

Ticket holders will be contacted directly with further information and options. We will be using this time to regroup and are putting our energies into preparing for the 15th Annual Fall Festival, Oct 8-11, 2020. We look forward to reuniting with our community in the Fall!

Please support the bands that were scheduled to play, stream their music, and have a look at any merchandise they are selling online, at this link.

Plans are in the works for the annual Fall Festival. Check the website for updates.

The 14th Annual Fall Festival Spotify Playlist gives an idea of the diversity of music attendees can expect.

The 14th Annual Fall Joshua Tree Music Festival happening Oct 10-13, 2019 is going to be one for the books! Music lovers will relish in the eclectic lineup featuring artists and inspiration from around the globe.  Expect to be taken on a musical journey over the course of this four-day family-friendly festival in the Mojave Desert.

‘What genres of music will I see at the Joshua Tree Music Festival’ is a commonly asked question. The answer: The acts are not chosen by genre, rather based on the goosebump-inducing, powerful, potent, compelling performances they deliver. Be prepared to discover some of your favorite new live acts on the JTMF stage!

By design, the JTMF lineups are a diverse spicy gumbo of talented artists from around the globe. Variety is the spice! The weekend of music is like a live mixtape, sequenced to take you on a joyful ride with artists on the rise that you don’t see at other fests.  Says festival founder Barnett English.

Some not-to-be-missed performers include; Hill Country trance blues maestros North Mississippi Allstars, New Orleans meets Bay Area soulsters The California Honeydrops, Mongolian heavy metal folk band The Hu on their highly anticipated first North American headline tour, live electro global funkateers Balkan Bump (with a live band), and Gato Preto bringing their new school Afro grooves (via Ghana & Mozambique).

Also on the lineup: Live electronica power trio Yak Attack, potent New Orleans AfroPunk queen Cole Williams, electro-funk fusionists Russ Liquid Test, singer/songwriter and expert story-teller Steve Poltz, afro-indigenous hip-hop revolutionaries Earth Arrow, world beat rock and rollers Elektric Voodoo, the gospelized New Orleans grooves of Water Seed, the psychedelic Afro-rock and soul of Orchestra Gold, and more.

As always, the festival includes a strong representation of local acts from the rich and vibrant music scene of Joshua Tree, Coachella Valley and surrounding areas: Adam Freeland, Davis Music, Cactus Wine Experience, Desert Rhythm Project, Gabriella Evaro, Long/Division, Myshkin Warbler, The Amritakripa Band, Ocho Ojos, Megafauna, The Flusters will showcase the diversity and talent the desert has to offer.

The JTMF experience features several multidisciplinary musical, movement, and spiritual workshops. Yoga classes are held from sunrise to sunset. A diverse selection of vendors can be found in the World Market. Attendees can enjoy a range of bodywork and healing services at the JTMF Healing Oasis. Art is featured throughout the festival grounds via live painting, art installations and more. Numerous food options are available on-site. An action-packed Kidsville provides all-day activities and entertainment for the younger attendees, and places JTMF among the leading family-friendly festivals in the USA.

Tickets are now on sale via the website at:  www.joshuatreemusicfestival.com.
