Please join Feral House + Soap Plant Wacko: Purveyor of Post-Pop Culture as we celebrate the release of Danko Jones memoir ‘I’ve Got Something to Say: 10 Years of Rock and Roll Ramblings’.

Says Danko Jones, “After playing rock music for the last twenty-one years, I’ve found time to put away the guitar and write down some of my thoughts on music and my experiences of life in a touring band. This book is a collection of essays that, unlike the music I play, are lighthearted and playful. Nothing less than fierce fandom for rock was what made this book come to life.”

Feral House invites you to celebrate the most fertile of Roman holidays, Lupercalia at Soap Plant Wacko: Purveyor of Post-Pop Culture & La Luz De Jesus Gallery the evening of Friday, February 17th. This Feral House event features music, readings, signings, refreshments and coloring books!!

This is the day of the general strike against the Trump administration. Come join your friends at LLJD / Soap Plant/Wacko for a nice respite following the strike

Ugly Things Magazine editor, and vocalist of The Loons, Mike Stax Dixson will be reading from and signing his much acclaimed, book Swim Through the Darkness. Fifteen years in the making, this book delves deep into the complex life of Craig Smith, a gifted musician, and songwriter whose songs were recorded by some of the biggest names in entertainment – Andy Williams, Glen Campbell, the Monkees. His future success seemed assured until an unexpected turn of events plunged him into a terrifying darkness. Clean-cut Smith became Maitreya Kali, the self-proclaimed psychedelic Messiah. He laid out his poignant, disturbing schizophrenic vision on a sprawling self-released double-album before disappearing completely. This is one of the strangest and most tragic untold stories of the 1960s and ’70s.

There will be an enchanting talk on Fenir the Wolf and Ragnarok by the White Witch of Los Angeles and FH author Maja D’Aoust and an appearance by author of the Encyclopaedia of Hell, Martin Olson.

Feral House publisher Adam Parfrey will give his two cents about current events as he signs your books, and other special guests are sure to attend and sign as well.

The legendary Don Bolles will spin his dazzling array of rarities, while you color pages from the Feral House Coloring Book series (Lemmy, Bowie, Ali and the soon-to-be-released Prince coloring book) with crayons and colored pencils courtesy of the publisher!

More Feral House event fun to be announced! Here’s a partial list of books that will be available at the event:

Swim Through the Darkness
Encyclopedia of Hell
David Bowie: Color the Starman
Lemmy Kilmister: Color the Ace of Spades
