Here is a collection of time. A collection of our history. A few photographs to remember what was. — Aaron Bo Heimlich

Aaron Bo Heimlich’s work captures a desire to explore the unseen and the magical idea of make-believe vs. reality. His work is both humorous and macabre, stemming from the idea that what we think we see is not what is actually there. Inserting his own visions into vintage photographs, he reworks the story of our past to include a character that he calls a Shedim. Shedim is a Hebrew word for benevolent demon which he feels correctly conveys the general premise of the figure. Their intent is in the viewer’s perspective, allowing everyone to interpret their presence individually. They are silent watchers, fairy godmothers, invisible friends, best friends, tricksters, helpers, confidants and everything in between. Shedim were among us but now they are gone.

Born in 1983, Aaron Bo Heimlich was raised by Hippie Scientists which gave him a unique experience in the world and give clue to his unique vision!
